Another option worth trying might be to change the way the phone appears on a Bluetooth conection. Older units used to set their bluetooth id as PocketPC which very few car kits would see as they were looking for phones.

there was a thread on XDA Developers about this and you need to look at modifying a registry entry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Sys\COD

the default is 5898764 (Decimal) which is "Telephone (Smartphone)" which you would think would work
could try changing to 5374476 (Decimal) which is a normal phone

Unfortunaltely Mercedes has screwed up my order and missed of some add ons I ordererd and the car has been returned by my company so I cannot test any of this yet.

CODのエントリを変更すれば、HFPが使えるかもみたいな事が書いてあるが
Advanced/W-ZERO3[es]は16進法の120114。

まだまだ道は遠い。
